This is a plain-language draft written for the beta launch, not legal advice. It will be reviewed by a lawyer before the beta widens, starting with India’s DPDP Act 2023 and adding the requirements of each country we serve.
What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email, and phone number. When you set up a parent’s profile: their name, phone number, language, medication times, personality notes, and an emergency contact. When calls happen: a summary and any notes for the memory notebook — plus a text transcript for AI companion calls, which are transcribed to produce that summary. Calls from a real-person companion are not transcribed; the companion writes the summary themselves. We do not store audio recordings of calls in this version of the product.
How we use it
To place the scheduled companion calls, generate summaries and reminders for you, and improve the reliability of the service. We do not sell your data or your parent’s data to anyone.
Consent
Before a parent’s first call, the account holder confirms the parent has agreed to receive these calls, and — where the AI companion is doing the calling — that conversations are transcribed. The AI always introduces itself as an AI companion arranged by the family and never pretends to be a person. A real-person companion introduces themselves by name and says the family arranged the call.
Third parties
We use Supabase for data storage, VocalLabs for placing and transcribing calls, and Resend for sending email notifications. Each is bound by its own data processing terms and only receives the data needed to do its job.
If you choose a real-person companion
The companion we match to your family is recruited and paid by us, and signs a confidentiality agreement before their first call. They see your parent’s name, phone number, language, the notes you provide, the emergency contact, and the memory notebook for that parent — the same information the AI companion would use, and nothing about your other parents or your billing. They do not see your account’s payment or credit history. If you switch back to the AI companion or delete the parent’s profile, their access ends immediately.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings — this removes your profile and every parent, call, and note tied to it. You can also pause or stop calls for any parent at any time.
Where we operate and store data
We place calls to phone numbers wherever your parent lives, and we confirm coverage for a specific number before the first call. Data is stored with Supabase in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, whichever country you and your parent are in.
