- Not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.
- Not a doctor. It asks how she feels and tells you. It does not diagnose or advise on medicine.
- Not a phone guard. It can't listen to her other calls or see her bank account. Its strength is a voice she trusts and an alert that reaches you fast.
Questions families ask
Does my parent need a smartphone?
No. RingThru is an ordinary phone call. Any mobile or landline that can receive calls will work.
Will Amma know she's talking to a computer?
Yes. RingThru always says it is an AI assistant arranged by her family. The first call explains this and asks for her permission.
What if she doesn't pick up?
We try again after 15 minutes and again after 30. If she misses all three, we let you know. Unanswered calls don't use credits.
Can my brother and sister see the updates too?
Yes. Invite them from the app and they get the same summaries and alerts.
Do you record her calls?
We don't store audio. We keep a text transcript and a short summary so your family can read them, and you can delete them any time.
What does RingThru ask about scams?
Every week it shares one short scam tip, and it asks whether anyone called about the police, a courier, the bank or a prize. It never asks for money, an OTP or bank details.
Which languages does it speak?
Malayalam and English today. Tamil, Hindi and Kannada are coming.
How much does it cost?

Why I'm building this
I'm a computer science student in Kerala. Almost every family I know has someone in the Gulf, the UK or Canada, and a parent at home who says "I'm fine" on the phone. When I read about elders here losing their savings to fake police calls, I wanted to build something simple that helps. RingThru is that. I'd love to hear what would make it useful for your family.
