About RingThru
RingThru started with a simple question: how do you know your parent is really okay when you live far away?
The story
Kerala is India's oldest state. Many parents here live alone while their children work in the Gulf, the UK, Canada or another Indian city.
At the same time, fake police officers, courier scams and KYC calls are emptying savings accounts. Elders are targeted because they are trusting, polite and often alone when the call comes.
RingThru is a daily phone call that checks in, remembers what matters, warns about scams, and tells the family what happened. It works on any phone, in the language your parent speaks.
Who's behind it
RingThru is built by Lester Oliver, a computer science student in Kerala. We're looking for a geriatrician or palliative care doctor to advise on our health content. If that's you, we'd love to talk.
